To ensure the proper functionality of the unit, allow for a minimum clearance of 4 inches on both the left and right sides, 2 inches on the back, and 1/2 inch on the top. To set up the machine, remove the reservoir cover by simultaneously pulling from the left and right sides towards you. Add water to the MAX WATER FILL and then replace the cover. We recommend using distilled, bottled, or filtered water, as this will improve the performance of the machine. Tap water with a hardness of less than 100 PPM is also acceptable. However, the machine will not produce ice if tap water with a hardness greater than 100 PPM is used.

To keep your KBice machine running efficiently, we recommend using distilled, bottled, or filtered water. Tap water with a hardness of less than 100 PPM is also acceptable. However, water with excessive calcium will diminish the machine's performance and increase the need for cleaning.
